Adam P. Dicker, MD, PhD

Dr. Dicker is the Chair of Radiation Oncology at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. He is an international authority in radiation oncology, drug development, and the treatment of prostate cancer and brain tumors. Neal Flomenberg, MD

Dr. Flomenberg is the Chair of Medical Oncology at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. A bone marrow transplant expert, Dr. Flomenberg is also Clinical Deputy Director at the Kimmel Cancer Center. His most recent work has centered on haploidentical bone marrow transplants (half match). Jeffersons new, two-step approach to marrow transplants from a half-matched donor (sibling or parent, in most cases) has produced promising results for patients that could serve as the basis for further exploration and optimization of the technique. Leonard Gomella, MD

Dr. Gomella is the Bernard W. Godwin, Jr. Professor of Prostate Cancer, associate director for Clinical Affairs at the Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson, and Chair of the Department of Urology at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, has served on numerous journal editorial boards in the field of urology and oncology; has given more than 500 presentations at local, national and international meetings; and written over 300 papers, chapters and monographs in the field of urology. Dr. Gomella has authored and edited 54 editions of 17 different books for medical students, residents and practicing physicians, many of which have been translated into foreign languages. Best Doctors in America, Top Doctors for Cancer, Philadelphia magazines Top Doctors have all recognized him many times as one of the best doctors for urologic oncology and prostate cancer. In 2007, Mens Health magazine listed Dr. Gomella as one of the top 20 urologists in the country. Richard G. Pestell, MD, PhD

Dr. Pestell is the Director of the Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson and Chair of the Department of Cancer Biology at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. He is an internationally renowned expert in oncology and endocrinology whose current work is focused on developing new cancer therapies that specifically target tumors, and reduce the side effects that are associated with commonly used cancer treatments such as chemotherapy and radiation. Dr. Waldman is the Samuel M.V. Hamilton Professor and Chair of the Department of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. Also, he is the Director of Gastrointestinal Malignancies Program of the Kimmel Cancer Center at Jefferson. Paul J. Mather, MD, FACC, FACP

Dr. Mather is medical director of the Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplant Center. He is also associate professor of Medicine at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. Dr. Mathers clinical interests include congestive heart failure (CHF), echocardiography and cardiac transplantation. His research interests encompass heart failure outcomes analyses, left ventricular assist devices, improving the efficiency of cardiac function with pacemakers and heart and lung transplantation. Gurjyot Bajwa, MD

Dr. Bajwa recently arrived at Jefferson from the Cleveland Clinic. Richard C. Wender, MD

Dr. Wender is chair of the Department of Family and Community Medicine. Dr. Wender is a nationally known for his work in cancer prevention and screening. He is co-author of several of the American Cancer Society's screening guidelines and has worked with the Centers for Disease Control, Cancer Research Foundation of America, and the National Colorectal Cancer Roundtable to develop ways to reach more Americans with preventive services. Anthony J. DiMarino, Jr., MD

Anthony J. DiMarino, Jr., M.D., is the William Rorer Professor of Medicine, Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, and director, Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and the Jefferson Celiac Center.  

Dr. DiMarino has been voted a Top Doc by Philadelphia magazine for seven years, an outstanding gastroenterologist by Delaware Valley Physicians, and one of the Top Physicians in South Jersey.  In 2010, Dr. DiMarino was voted one of Becker’s ASC Top 75 gastroenterologists in the U.S.  He has a strong interest in medical education and has won numerous teaching awards.  His clinical interests include celiac disease, swallowing disorders and problems of gastrointestinal motility, inflammatory bowel disease, ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. A.M. Rostami, MD, PhD

Dr. Rostami is professor and chair of the Department of Neurology at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University and director of the Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology Research Laboratory at Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience, and has served as President of the Philadelphia Neurological Society. Dr. Rostami is the author of more than 130 scientific papers that have been published in such leading journals as Nature Immunology, Proceedings of the National Academy of the Sciences of the United States of America, Annals of Neurology, and Journal of Immunology.
