Visiting & Contacting a Patient

We know that visitors are important to your well-being and recovery. Your family and friends are welcome to visit you on the general units from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

If you do not want visitors or telephone calls, please call a patient representative at 215-955-7777 or 5-7777 (from inside the Hospital).

Except for brothers and sisters visiting newborn siblings, children under 13 years old may not visit on patient floors; they may wait in the lobby or the Atrium Cafeteria. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Special visiting privileges for children should be arranged in advance with your nurse.

To avoid overcrowding, no more than two visitors are allowed in a patient room at a time.

Visiting hours are limited in the intensive care units because of the special care required for these patients.

Intermediate & Medical Intensive Care Units (IMICU/MICU): 3rd Floor, Gibbon Building
11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Medical & Surgical Intensive Care Units (MICU/SICU): 4th Floor, Gibbon Building
11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Medical & Surgical Coronary Care Units (MCCU/SCCU): 5th Floor, Gibbon Building
15-minute visits permitted
12:30 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Intermediate & Surgical Intensive Care Units (ISICU/SICU): 7th Floor, Gibbon Building
11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Intermediate & Neurosensory Intensive Care Units (INICU/NICU): 9th Floor, Gibbon Building
11 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Intermediate & Neurosensory Intensive Care Units (INICU/NICU): 6th Floor & 8th Floor, Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience
11 a.m. to 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Bone Marrow Transplant Unit: 14th Floor, Foerderer Pavilion

Geriatric Psychiatry

Monday through Friday
12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Weekends and Holidays
12 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Rehabilitation

3rd Floor, Thompson Building
Monday through Friday
12 p.m. to 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.
