Christopher C. Dodson, M.D., Joins Thomas Jefferson University Hospital’s Rothman Institute

Orthopedic Surgeon Christopher C. Dodson, M.D., has joined the Rothman Institute at Jefferson. He has also been named an assistant professor of Orthopedic Surgery at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University and joins the faculty after a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Services at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York.

Matthew S. Keller, M.D., Joins Thomas Jefferson University’s Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Biology

Dermatologist Matthew S. Keller, M.D., has joined the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Biology at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia. He has also been named a clinical instructor and joins the faculty after completing his residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Keller will practice medical dermatology with a focus on psoriasis.

Jefferson Neurosurgeon Helps Draft First Evidence-Based, Multidisciplinary Treatment Guidelines for Patients with Brain Metastases

New treatment guidelines for patients with brain metastases are now available from the American Association of Neurological Surgeons (AANS) and the Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS). David Andrews, M.D., F.A.C.S., professor and vice-chair of Clinical Services in the Department of Neurological Surgery at Jefferson Hospital for Neuroscience, served as a member of the task force chosen to draft this new, significant tool to improve the quality of care for patients who suffer from brain tumors.

Jefferson Appoints Irwin B. Levitan, Ph.D., to Lead New Department of Neuroscience

Irwin B. Levitan, Ph.D. has been named Founding Chair of the newly created Department of Neuroscience at Jefferson Medical College of Thomas Jefferson University. He has also been appointed director of the Farber Institute for Neurosciences. His appointment is effective January 1, 2010.
